Community Initiatives, Partnerships and Programs

Sigma Wellness is our men’s health initiative designed to educate and inform our membership and the community about key health issues facing men of color. Engaging our communities through dialogue about overall quality of health and solutions to improve our well-being as men by addressing:

Living Healthy: Diet, Nutrition and Exercise

Living Fit: Obesity and Weight Control

Living Responsible: Reducing your Cancer Risk

Living Risk Free: Sexual Health

Living Balanced: Spiritual and Mental Health

(NEW) Living Financially Fit: Successful Money Management

Through this initiative we also provide a up to date local information, medical information , assistance for our local veterans and business services provided by members of  our chapter.

The Alpha Omega Sigma / F.S. Scholarship Fund

Support the Alpha Omega Sigma Scholarship Fund and be a part of something greater than yourself. Established by the Alpha Omega Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., this 501(c)(3) nonprofit is dedicated to empowering communities through mentorship, education, service, and support for underserved youth and families in the Fort Stewart area and beyond. Your donation helps us continue transforming lives—one act of service at a time. Join us in carrying the torch of brotherhood, leadership, and impact.

Sigma Beta Club

The Sigma Beta Club of Alpha Omega Sigma / F.S. Chapter supports youth ages 8 to 18 by funding program operations, providing both individual and group mentorship, and leading impactful activities. Our mission is to enhance academic achievement, inspire community involvement, teach self-respect and proper grooming, guide post-secondary planning, and foster strong relationships with local partners.

Lights Out Empowerment

Alpha Omega Sigma / F.S. Chapter proudly partners with Lights Out Empowerment to support their quarterly mentoring sessions and community events, working together to equip youth with the skills, education, and motivation needed to become the best versions of themselves.

Adopt - A - Road: Airport Road

Keep Liberty Beautiful (KLB) is a community education and volunteer program focused on litter prevention, beautification, and environmental stewardship in Liberty County. As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, KLB encourages local involvement through initiatives like the Great American Cleanup. The Brothers proudly partner with KLB by organizing quarterly cleanups along Airport Road in Hinesville to help keep the community clean and vibrant.

Sigmas Working With Young Men (S.W.W.Y.M)

S.W.W.Y.M. empowers young men through leadership, mentorship, and community, building tomorrow’s leaders today. Guided by the motto, “Guiding Tomorrow’s Leaders, One Step at a Time,” the program meets weekly or biweekly with group mentoring, guest speakers, and hands-on activities. Built on five pillars—Self-Discovery, Leadership, Education, Wellness, and Brotherhood—each month focuses on a theme like “Who Am I?” to help students explore identity, strengths, and purpose through engaging projects and discussions.

Sickle Cell Awareness

Alpha Omega Sigma / F.S. actively supports sickle cell awareness through national initiatives focused on education, advocacy, and community engagement. The chapters partners with health organizations to host blood drives, health fairs, and awareness campaigns, particularly in underserved communities disproportionately affected by the disease. By promoting early testing and providing resources about treatment and management, Phi Beta Sigma plays a vital role in increasing public understanding of sickle cell disease and improving health outcomes for those impacted.

Adopt - A - School Program

Frank Long Elementary, Waldo Pafford Elementary, Snelson Golden Middle School, Bradwell Institute

​Through our Adopt-A-School Program, the Brothers have proudly partnered with Frank Long Elementary, Waldo Pafford Elementary, Snelson Golden Middle School, and Bradwell Institute to provide consistent support and engagement throughout the school year. Our impact includes hosting back-to-school supply drives in partnership with Liberty County, offering free haircuts through our collaboration with Just Kutz, organizing school-wide spelling bees, and awarding scholarships to graduating seniors. These efforts are all part of our mission to empower students, uplift schools, and strengthen our community through meaningful service and mentorship.
